Oh, man do I remember that! Mine was so bad I used to have to buy the industrial sized bottle of Mylanta and would wake up several times to guzzle some just to be able to go back to sleep. Finally I asked my Dr. for something to help and she gave me Zantac (the purple pill) and I did not have ANY hearburn for the entire rest of my pregnancy.
Kells, I'll second Stacey's comment. If it's persistent it's a lot better to take a low dose Zantac than a bunch of otc stuff (which could also cause kidney stones if you're not careful). And I know this doesn't make the heartburn any better, but the other option is for Cam to be really low and make you pee constantly and your legs go numb and ache (trust me!). You just can't win at this point.
I too had horrible heartburn with all my children. I took Zantac over the counter with Addyson and boy was it a life saver. samantha and McKayla I took Mylanta. Zantac was much better because I could take it in the morning and be heartburn free all day. Welcome to the pains of pregnancy. First few semeters you feel like crap and then you start feeling better. Then wham here comes all the other pains at the end. Just know that as soon as you have Camille it will all go away. I cannot believe that you almost due.
So - I thought I would let you know what my lunch lady here in Spain said the cause of heartburn was - just for laughs. Ready? cause it is funny - heartburn is caused by how much hair the baby has, the more hair the worse the heartburn! So I guess Camille will have a full head of hair! LOL
By the way, this woman was totally serious when she told me this today, and it took everything I had not to laugh.

You wouldn't believe how many people asked if I had heartburn when they saw Josiah's hair. Dumbest thing I ever heard of.
Man you need to update your blog. You were doing really well and now nothing... We want updates, we want updates, we want updates. It's a protest..
